General Manufacturers are seeking many different ways to market their products with an added value mark. Kiwa has many ways in which they can assist manufacturers with differentiating themselves from other manufacturers. The Kiwa UK Product approval scheme provides an alternative to the established and traditionally methods of obtaining approvals and certificates. By utilizing the existing system of product certification within Kiwa, we are able to offer a Kiwa UK certificate to prove compliance with the local requirements within the UK

Requirements
Within the Kiwa expert group of Sanitary Appliances, there are many products groups that have a product Certification Scheme already existing, mainly based on the European Standards. Therefore, by performing some additional tests to demonstrate compliance with the local UK mechanical and performance requirements, Kiwa will be able to issue a Kiwa UK certificate, subject to compliance with the requirements for construction materials i.e. BS6920.

The Kiwa  Laboratory is also accredited for performing tests for other national certification institutes, and therefore can make use of any mutual tests that maybe required.

Product Groups such as Sanitary Tap ware, WC Suites and various types of water supply valves can be accommodated with this scheme, because there are common  European Stanards such as EN1111, EN817 , EN1111, EN1287 have been demonstrated that mosts tests are equvalent to bthe UK Regulators Specifications.
